Teenage Chelsea player will earn more than Cole Palmer from 2025

As it stands, one Chelsea youngster would start earning more at Stamford Bridge than Cole Palmer from 2025.

Chelsea were bled dry by Lampard flop who earned 3x more than Palmer

If you’ve watched Chelsea this season, it’s pretty clear to see Cole Palmer has been the outstanding individual at the club. It’s why he took home both the Men’s Players’ Player of the Season and Player of the Season awards at Chelsea’s award night earlier this week.

Remarkably, Salary Sport claims Palmer is on a low £22,000-a-week contract following his arrival last summer from Manchester City.

However, The Telegraph did report last month that Palmer is set to be rewarded for a stunning debut season by getting an improved contract that will include a lucrative pay rise.

Chelsea youngster in line to earn more than Cole Palmer

Kendry Paez, who’s still only aged 17, is one young talent the fanbase are very excited about.

Chelsea confirmed last year that they had agreed to sign midfielder Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle, but the South American youngster joins the squad after his 18th birthday, which is in May 2025.

Bolavip reports this week that Paez is set to earn close to $2.5m per year (£2m per year) when he officially joins up with Chelsea in 2025.

It is explained that it would put him as a higher earner than both Palmer and Conor Gallagher.

There’s a lot of excitement from supporters about what the Ecuador international is doing in his homeland at such a young age, which is what lead to the Blues snapping him up. However, it’s not right for him to arrive and instantly overtake Palmer in the wage order.

Thankfully, reports above suggest the Palmer issue will be fixed and his value will soon be properly recognised. Let’s remember the 22-year-old’s scored 24 goals and made 13 assists in 42 Blues appearances this campaign.

Who is Kendry Paez?

The Chelsea hierarchy will be hoping that Paez is the next footballing superstar.

He’s an attacking midfielder already playing an important first-team role for Independiente in the Ecuadorian top division. On top of that, the teenager’s played six times for his country, where he partners Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo in midfield.
