Tank Davis Lays Into “Snake” Eddie Hearn, Defends Ryan Garcia

Gervonta Davis blasted Devin Haney’s promoter Eddie Hearn, calling him a “snake in a suit” today, and defending Ryan Garcia over his recent positive PED results for his 12-round majority decision win over Devin on April 20th.

Earlier this week, Hearn suggested that Haney (31-1, 15 KOs) should try and have his loss removed due to Ryan’s PED results. If that happened, Haney would return to the perfect 31-0 that he was before the loss, magically erasing the humiliating loss.

“He a snake in the suit, that’s all. He let Conor Benn test positive and he was still going to let him fight,” said Gervonta Davis to the media, talking about promoter Eddie Hearn, who also promotes Devin Haney.

“Dillian Whyte, after he tested positive? I didn’t even know that,” said Gervonta when told that Hearn fighter, heavyweight Dillian Whyte was allowed to fight after testing positive. “He’s a snake, bro. He’s bad for business.

Hearn Earns Tank’s Distrust

“Yes, if he’s off that s***,” said Tank when asked if he’d be interested in fighting Conor Benn, another one of Hearn’s fighters. “No, because I can’t trust Eddie Hearn. You can’t at all. He’s a snake in a suit,” on whether Tank would fight on one of Hearn’s shows.

I guess this means we won’t be seeing a fight between Tank Davis and Conor Benn. Oh well, I don’t think American fans would be interested in that trainwreck-level fight anyway. Fans in the U.S. wouldn’t want to see that fight, even before Benn’s positive tests.

Ryan Gets a Surprising Ally

“I’m backing Ryan because a lot of boxers are going at him. It took 72 hours for the tests to come out after the fight. Why didn’t it come out that Tuesday? They waited until the Canelo fight to push that he had something in his drug.

“Then when they pushed that, Devin was on ESPN that night promoting that. Ryan looked worse [against Haney than against Tank]. He was just a bigger person, much slower. If he [Ryan] was on something [steroids for Haney], he would have had brick hands, and everything would have been strong,” said Gervonta.
