Boxer Ryan Garcia has once again stirred up controversy, this time by proposing an unconventional idea to fellow boxer Claressa Shields.

Despite Shields being engaged to Tony Rich, Garcia suggested they have a “superhuman baby,” setting social media ablaze.

Garcia, currently embroiled in a scandal after testing positive for banned substances twice during his fight against Devin Haney, made the bold proposition to Shields through a text message.

The B sample test for Garcia is scheduled for May 22.

Shields shared a screenshot of their conversation on the social media platform X, expressing her astonishment.

“Boy oh boy! I run 6 miles, do 100 ab wheel rollers, train my SCOC boxing kids….then I wake up to s*** like this @RyanGarcia and all I’m doing is minding my business,” she posted.

In the exchange, Garcia initiated the conversation by stating,

“If we had a baby, the baby would be superhuman.” Shields responded.

“You need help Ryan,” Shields responded.

Despite Shields’ rebuff, Garcia continued to push his idea.

“I’m just saying tho whatever…. You are a two-time Olympic gold medalist. I’m the best fighter to ever live,” he replied.

Garcia’s antics have drawn widespread attention, overshadowing his current professional challenges and raising eyebrows across the boxing community.

As he awaits the results of his B sample test, his latest proposal has only added to the ongoing drama surrounding his career.
